The COVID-19 quarantine measures taken increased the use of telecommunications and broadcasting networks, highlighting their importance as an essential infrastructure to provide communications services like smart working and streaming for people staying at home.
With this respect many initiatives were taken by the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communication (BEREC) and the National Regulatory Authorities (NRA) in EU Countries to ensure the highest quality for the provision of telecommunication, broadcasting networks and services as well as to protect consumers who rely on these services on a daily basis.
